EILEEN OFFORD (nee CRAWFORD) Our beloved Eileen passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 9, 2006 surrounded by the love of her family. Eileen was born July 26, 1927 in Winnipeg to George and Sarah Crawford. She grew up in a large family. She met Wally and they married May 31, 1968. Eileen will always be lovingly remembered by her husband of 38 years, Wally, their son Jim and wife Karen, grandson David. Also her three surviving sisters, Gloria, Alice and Ann, brother-in-law Bert, sisters-in-law, Irene (Arthur) and June (George). Eileen also enjoyed her large extended family of nieces and nephews who will miss her greatly. Eileen took great pride and joy in her home, yard and flowers. Spring held special anticipation as new seedlings were nurtured for planting. She also loved to travel, embracing the world with wonder, particularly the warm exotic locales. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, April 13 at 12:30 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. Remembrances may be made to the Manitoba Heart and Stroke Foundation, Suite 200, 6 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6 or the Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 2B7 in Eileen's memory.
