MICHAEL (MONUE) JOHN MORLOCK July 14, 1945 - April 6, 2006 With his family and friends at his bedside Michael John Morlock passed away on Thursday, April 6, 2006 at Seven Oaks Hospital after a short illness. Mike will always be remembered by his loving mother Dot and relatives, his wife Rose, stepchildren, Kathie and Ron and all of his friends. He was predeceased by his stepfather August Fabbri, father Gerald Morlock and his stepmother Matilda. Mike was born in England and came to Canada when he was 13 months old with his family and settled in Winnipeg. Mike started working with the City of Winnipeg on March 21, 1966 for the Sanitation Department and went to the Streets Department in 1978, where he worked until his retirement on January 13, 2001. Mike was a member of St. Joe's Wildlife Association. He enjoyed fishing and being outdoors. Mike was well loved by all and had many friends. He enjoyed moments in life from the quietest to the loudest moments with his friends throughout his life. Mike enjoyed taking his mom's dog Benny for walks. A special thanks to Seven Oaks Hospital ICU and staff for their care and kindness. The family would like to thank Shep, Jerry and Fergie for all their help in our time of need. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 13 at 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Kidney Foundation.
