FRANCOIS (FRANK) DRUWE September 8, 1935 - April 8, 2006 Frank, beloved soul mate of Georgette Lansard, passed away suddenly but peacefully at the Grace General Hospital on Saturday, April 8, 2006 at the age of 70 years. Frank was predeceased by his parents, Robert V. and Alexandrine (Simon) Druwe; his sister Paulette Houle; infant brother Paul; and wife Carol Druwe. Besides his devoted life partner Georgette, Frank is survived by daughter Marianne Nolin (Don); sons, Mark Druwe (Cheryl) and Robert Druwe (Yvette); grandchildren, Evan, Eric and Stephen Nolin, Ashley Druwe, Melyssa and Robyn Druwe. Also left to mourn and who will miss him incredibly is his very special stepdaughter Kathryn Humpage (Darren Terry). Frank is also survived by his stepdaughter Debbie Hallett (Glen), numerous stepgrandchildren and stepgreat-grandchildren. Remembering Frank are many nephews, nieces, aunts, an uncle and several cousins. Born at St Boniface Hospital, educated and lived most of his life in St Boniface. As a young man he joined the Canadian Navy and was stationed at HMCS Cornwallis in Halifax, NS. He pursued a variety of careers during his working life - one of his most rewarding and pleasurable experience was manager of Le Festival du Voyageur during its infant and formative years. Special thanks to the doctors, nurses and support staff at Deer Lodge Centre - 4th floor, for their care and compassion. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, April 14 at E. J. Coutu Co. Funeral Home, 680 Archibald St. Cremation has taken place and interment will be at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in Frank's memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 6 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6.
