BERTHA CALLINS (nee JUCE) March 11, 1913 - April 11, 2006 On April 10, 2006, Bertha Callins, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, died peacefully surrounded by family, at St. Boniface Hospital at the age of 93 years. Bertha was predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Anna Juce; and sisters, Nelly Stanchuk and Victoria Labba. She is survived by son Gene Callins (Valerie); daughter Bev Chapski (Paul); six grandchildren, Victor, Natalie, Tina, Mark, Irene and Darlene; four great-grandchildren, Julia, Tyson, Wyatt and Noah; brothers, Adam Juce (Mary) and Mike Juce (Margaret); and sister Mary Russell, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Mom loved to cook and travel. Her door was always open. Special thanks to Drs. Joel Loiselle and Garnet Crawford and staff for the wonderful care on the 8th floor Palliative Care ward, St. Boniface Hospital, and also to the staff on the 6th floor, Misericordia Health Centre. Funeral service will be held 10:30 a.m., Saturday, April 15 at Green Acres Funeral Home, Hwy. No. 1 E. at Navin Road. Interment will follow in Green Acres Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations in Bertha's memory may be made to Palliative Care, St. Boniface Hospital, 409 Tache Ave., Winnipeg, MB R2H 2A6. GREEN ACRES Funeral Home and Cemetery Hwy.
