JAMES (JIM) DOOLEY Peacefully, with his family by his side, Jim passed away on April 12, 2006, at the age of 83 at Bethesda Place in Steinbach. Jim is survived by his wife Elsie (nee Elliott) of 55 years; his two sons, Ralph (Julie), Joe (Kathy) both of Winnipeg; daughter-in-law Linda (Mike Shaughnessy) of Sundown, seven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, two brothers and five sisters. Jim was predeceased by his eldest son Robert in 1983. Jim was born in Hartney, MB in 1922. He served in the Canadian army overseas in the Second World War. After returning from the war, he married our mother in 1950. In 1962, after many moves Mom and Dad settled in Piney and in 1982 Dad retired after 31 years working with Manitoba Hydro. Dad spent his final years at Bethesda Place, Steinbach, where he received excellent care. The family would like to thank the doctors and staff of Cranberry Cove. A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 22 at 1:00 p.m. at Piney Hall.
