A. LEROY (LEE) TERRY
Born: May 07, 1943
Date of Passing: Apr 08, 2006
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryA. LEROY (LEE) TERRY Born on May 7, 1943, Lee went home to be with Jesus on April 8, 2006 after a year and half battle with cancer. Lovingly remembered by his wife of close to 40 years, Margaret, his children, Michael and Wendy (Jack), his brother Del (Flo) and many nieces and nephews. He passed away at home surrounded by the love of his family. Born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Lee moved to British Columbia with his family 1975. From 1979 through 2001, many came to know Lee as the Popcorn Man at Crescent Beach in South Surrey. In early 2002, Lee and Marg moved to Fanny Bay on Vancouver Island. Lee loved the Island, and it was there that he learned to play the banjo, spending many happy hours in jam sessions with friends. He continued to sell his popcorn and sno-cones at festivals and fairs. He was also Santa Claus to many kids over the last eight years . . . and was one of the best. Lee was a warm, funny and caring person and he will be sadly missed by many. Special thanks go to Dr. Doug Anderson. A Celebration of Lee's Life will be held on Saturday, April 22 at 2:00 p.m. at the Island Gospel Centre, located at 90 McColl Road, in Bowser, B.C. In lieu of flowers, donations to Youth for Christ Comox Valley and designated to the Bowser Lighthouse Youth would be greatly appreciated. The address is P.O. Box 3333 Courtenay, B.C. V9N 5N5. Lee, you had a great life and you will forever be in our hearts.
