WALTER ZELYCH Suddenly on Saturday, April 15, 2006 at Selkirk General Hospital, Walter passed away at the age of 79. He was predeceased by his wife Eva in 1988, parents, Michael and Mary Zelych, brother John Zelych and sister Ann Pronyk. Left to cherish his memory are son Richard, his daughters Kayla and Kelsey, daughter Barbara and her husband Dan Mytz and their children Michael (Mandy) and Kimberly (Rob) as well as great-grandchildren Malaya and Malik Mytz, along with many nieces and nephews. Dad was born September 6, 1926 and was a life-long resident of Rossdale, MB. He worked for the Department of Highways and Transportation for 25 years retiring in 1983. He was very proud of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He enjoyed watching all sports on TV and the phone calls and visits from his nephew Martin. The family wishes to thank Dad's homecare workers and nurses for all their kind and compassionate care as well as Dr. Racette, Dr. Speer and nursing staff at Selkirk District General Hospital. Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 19 at Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk, with viewing at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Old St. Andrews on the Red. Pallbeares will be Dan Mytz, Michael Mytz, Martin Zelych and Brad Zelych. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk, in care of arrangements.
