Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryHELEN LUMSDEN WILSON (nee CAMERON) It is with great sadness that our family announces the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister, Helen at Oakview Place after a brief illness on Easter Sunday, April 16, 2006. Helen is survived by her son Cameron Wilson (Joan) and her daughter Arlene Macready (Larry). She will be greatly missed by her grandchildren, Bruce, Allison, Wendy, Kevin, Trevor, Lisa and their spouses, as well as several great-grandchildren; her sister Jean Taylor of Scarborough, ON and her brother Bill of Goderich, ON; sisters-in-law, Chris Wilson, June Wilson, Dorothy Wilson, Bernice Branigan and brother-in-law Billy Wilson (Luanne) and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents Peter and Helene Cameron; her brother Jim; her dear granddaughter Colleen and her husband Jimmy who passed away in 1989. Helen was born in Winnipeg on May 26, 1915. She attended Principal Sparling and General Wolfe Schools. Helen was a homemaker and then for many years she worked for the Mall Medical and later the Laura Secord Co. at Polo Park. Helen was very well liked wherever she worked and she spent many happy days with her in-laws at Belair. She devoted herself to her children and loved her grandchildren and great- grandchildren deeply. The family wishes to thank the caring staff at Oakview, especially Joan, Michelle and Valerie for their kindness and dedication. They made a big difference in her life as well as ours. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Helen's life will be held on Thursday, April 20 at 3:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. Interment and reception will follow.
