RANNVEIG SIGRIDUR (RAE) GORDON April 19, 1908 - April 16, 2006 It is with sadness that we announce the passing of our dear mother, Nana and Great-Nana Rae on Sunday, April 16, 2006 at Betel Home in Selkirk, MB at the age of 97. She was predeceased by her husband Douglas; her parents, Helgi and Asta Magnusson; her brother Halli; sisters, Olive Bailey and Madeline Halderson. Mom is survived by her children, Madeline (Gordon) MacKenzie and Donald (Greta); grandchildren, Dr. Scott (Robin), David (Brynne), Maureen (Gary) Richardson and Sandra (Darrell) Bodnar; great-grandchildren, Leigh, Alana, Katherine MacKenzie, Mac and Cameron MacKenzie, Callum and Renee Richardson and Lindsay Bodnar. Rae was a gracious lady who valued her family and was very proud of her Icelandic heritage. She enjoyed her two visits to Iceland visiting relatives. Mom was also a proud member of the P.E.O. sisterhood, Chapter A. She was a loving mother, Nana, Great-Nana, as well a devoted wife who worked alongside her husband in the family business Gordon Motors for many years until Dad retired and Donald carried on the business. Our family would like to thank Dr. Demsas and all the wonderful staff at Betel Home for the compassionate care they gave our Mom these past eight years. Cremation has taken place and a private family graveside service will be held on Thursday, April 20 with Pastor Stan Richards officiating.
