Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryFRANCES MARIE GORMAN (nee ANDERSON) October 18, 1905 - April 15, 2006 Peacefully on April 15, 2006, Frances passed away at the River East Care Home at the age of 100 years. Frances is survived by her sons, Ron (Barbara) and Wally (Tilly); sisters, Gladys Smith and Doris (Andy) Chester; her grandchildren, Sharon Meads (Brian), Todd Gorman (Laurie) and Darren and Jason Gorman; as well as her great-grandchildren, Philip and Marcy Meads and Riley Gorman. She was predeceased by her husband Ernest, one daughter Jean Atamanchuk, sisters, Ruby, Mabel, Violet and Margaret and by her brothers, Roy, Herb, Clarence and Edward; her step-sisters, Minnie and Ada and by her grandson Terry. The third eldest child born to Peter and Lena Anderson in Erhard, MN, she married Ernest in 1929 and moved to Fort Qu'Appelle, SK. In 1939, she moved to Winnipeg with her family. Frances loved cooking and music. She memorized the words to songs easily and was able to play many songs on her mouth organ. She never hesitated to entertain family and friends. All who knew her will cherish her laughter and smile. May she live in our hearts forever . Funeral service will be held at Thomson Funeral Home. 669 Broadway on Wednesday, April 19 at 2:30 p.m. with a reception to follow. Interment will take place at Green Acres Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Darren, Todd and Jason Gorman, Brian and Philip Meads and Bill McKnight. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mrs. Gorman's memory may be made to a charity of choice. The family wishes to gratefully acknowledge the staff at the River East Care Home for their concern and the wonderful care they provided Mrs. Gorman while she was a resident there.
