George was a devoted husband of 64 years to Aileen (nee Lamont) and a loving and kind father to his three daughters, Elaine (Murray) Nedohin, Carol (Van) Roy of Winnipeg, and Judie (Allan) Larter of Kelowna. He adored his two beloved grandchildren, Justin and Alanna Larter of Kelowna. Justin will always be his number one and Alanna will always be grandpa's girl . He was predeceased by his brother Arnold and sisters Lilian, Elsie and Dorothy. George had an avid interest in his community having served as a Dugald school trustee, councilor and reeve of the R.M. of Springfield, a director of the local agricultural society and member of the church board. He was known and loved for his wit, humour, compassion and charm. In our memories we can picture him in the garden and he will live in our hearts forever. The family would like to express our thanks to the dedicated staff of the Cottonwoods Reactivation Unit. Special thanks to Shauna, Nellie and Judy for their love and support during his final hours, and to Dr. Willie Mackle for his kind, attentive and compassionate care.
