Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryOREST BILINSKY Orest Bilinsky quietly passed away at the Concordia Hospital with his family at his bedside on April 18, 2006. Orest was born on August 7, 1931 near Ethelbert, MB. Orest was a lifetime employee of the Winnipeg Free Press where he worked in the company of his brother Nestor and brother-in-law George Zeliska. In 1992, he retired but continued his volunteer work which had started decades earlier with the Blessed Virgin Mary Church and then was latterly associated with St. Anne Ukrainian Catholic Church. He was devoted to family, to his wife Bernice and his children and grandchildren. Orest was a quiet man, enjoying golf, travelling and playing cribbage long into the evenings with his brother-in-law Dave Ellis while Dave's wife Mae and Bernice socialized. Orest was predeceased by his father John, mother Nellie and brother Morris. Orest is survived by wife Bernice, son David (Jo-Anne) and their daughter Lauren of North Vancouver, BC and daughter Susan Mann (Daryl) and their three daughters, Kelsey, Kirby and Katherine of Prince George, BC; his sister Emily (Mike) Klym and his brother Nestor, both of Winnipeg and other nieces and nephews and their families. The funeral service for Orest will be held on Thursday, April 20 at St. Anne Ukrainian Catholic Church, 455 Douglas Ave., Winnipeg, MB at 10:30 a.m., the Rt. Rev. Canon Walter Klimchuk, presiding. Interment will follow at All Saints Cemetery. Flowers are gracefully declined, donations in memory of Orest may be made to the St. Anne Catholic Church building Fund.
