Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMERRILL PARSONS April 2, 1932 April 17, 2006 On Monday, April 17, 2006, at his home in Gimli, MB, Merrill went home to his Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. Merrill was born and raised in Newfoundland. At the age of 18, he joined the Air Force and served 23 years. Merrill enjoyed his security position at the Seagrams (Diageo) plant as well as his appliance repair business. He was an avid hunter and fisherman who loved to spin a tale about his adventures. He loved people and his ministry at the seniors' homes in Selkirk. He was predeceased by his wife Elsie in 2000 and will be lovingly remembered by his daughters, Debbie (Perry), Brenda, Dennette (Myles) and grandchildren, Katie, Montana and Kellie; brothers, George (Millie), James (Julia), Charlie, sister Elizabeth and many other relatives and friends. A memorial service celebrating Merrill's life will be held on Friday, April 21 at 2:00 p.m. at Springs Church in Selkirk at 479 Eveline St., with Pastor Ernest Goertzen officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Springs Church-Seniors' Ministry. Well done, Thou good and faithful servant... Enter Thou into the joy of Thy Lord. Matthew 25:21.
