ULYSSE PELOQUIN Suddenly, but peacefully after a brief and courageous battle with cancer, it is with deep regret our family announces the passing of Ulysse Peloquin on April 18, 2006 at the Riverview Health Centre at the age of 74 years. Ulysse is survived by his wife Diane; son Gilbert; daughters, Marianne and Julie (Steve Wellasch) and their children, Max and Rene. He is also survived by his brothers, Paul (Mildred) and Alfred (Eva); sister Marquerite; and sisters-in-law, Janet and Loretta (Mario) and many extended family members. Ulysse was predeceased by his parents, Alphonse and Victoria Peloquin; brother Eugene; and sisters, Baby Angel and Angel. Ulysse was born May 18, 1931 and was raised in St. Norbert, MB on the family dairy farm. He then acquired a family farm in Ile des Chenes, MB and finally retired in Ste. Anne, MB where he spent the last 15 years working on different projects until he became ill. The family would like to acknowledge Dr. Fredette of Seine Medical Centre, nurses and staff of Grace Hospital and Riverview Health Centre Palliative Care Unit for all their care, comfort and compassion. Mass of Christian Burial for Ulysse Peloquin will be celebrated Saturday, April 22 at 10:30 a.m. at Ste. Anne Roman Catholic Church with Fr. René Chartier presiding. Viewing will be prior to the service. Interment will follow in the Parish Cemetery. Prayers will be Friday, April 21 at 7:30 p.m. at St. Timothy Parish, 135 John Forsyth Rd., Winnipeg. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba, 1160 - 675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9 or to Ste. Anne Parish Renovation Fund.
