ESTHER MARION CHRISTINE REITMEIER September 9, 1911 - April 17, 2006 On Monday, April 17, 2006, Esther passed away at the Poseidon Care Centre, at the age of 94 years. Esther is survived by her daughter Linda Howell; grandson David (Susan); granddaughter Christyn (Scott); great-grandchildren, Magen and Connor; her baby Kayla; and two sisters, Edith Wood and Elsie MacLean. She was predeceased by her parents, Agnes and Emil Christensen; and sisters, Gladys Cameron and Gerda Mathieson. Mom loved her grandchildren with all her heart and her greatest joys came from time spent with them. Her cottage at Grand Beach was her pride and joy and her beach friends were forever cherished. Esther led a simple life of giving to others. She was very active at church in her earlier years. Mom baked and served for many teas and fund raisers. She was an avid curler and was a member of the Strathcona Curling Club. A private family graveside service will be held in Elmwood Cemetery, 88 Hespeler Ave. Esther's funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 22 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Mark's Lutheran Church, 600 Cambridge St. with Pastor Lynn Granke officiating. Our thanks to the staff at Poseidon Care Centre for their loving care they provided mom during her stay there. If friends wish, donations in Esther's memory may be made to Mom's favourite charity, the Winnipeg Humane Society, 5 Kent St., Winnipeg, MB R2L 1X3. Esther's arrangements have been entrusted to the Family Owned Funeral Chapel of: WOJCIK'S ALL BELIEFS FAITHS FUNERAL CHAPEL CREMATORIUM 897 - 4665
