MARY AGNUS SCOTT (YEOMAN) Peacefully, April 18, 2006 Mom passed away at the Seven Oaks Hospital with her remaining family by her side, at the age of 89. Born in Vivian, Manitoba 1916, a twin born to George and Mary Yeoman (Preist). She had two older sisters, Eva (predeceased) and Pat McFadden; twin Brother Bill (predeceased) and youngest sister Pearl Walsh of Ottawa. Mother moved with family to Macintosh,ON where there family owned a General Store, she loved it there, and told us many stories from those at the store. They eventually moved to Winnipeg to further her education, and also where she met William Allen Scott, husband to be and have five children, which she eventually raised by herself, caring deeply that her family stayed together. Her struggles in life were many, never giving up and making the best from which she had. Early years were lived in St. James and later St. Vital. In spite of many health issues, Mom taught herself to play piano, write music, poetry, sketching and painting pictures of which were exhibited in her room at Middlechurch Nursing Home, her residence of choice. Mary lived there for 12 years, she believed in speaking out for the ones who could not, making her options known with a strong sense of right and wrong, and use of common sense. She was a Little Lady with a BIG HEART. Thanks to the wonderful patient Care Givers of B2 at Middlechurch, there kindness and friendship was greatly appreciated! She will be sadly missed by her five children. Son Walter and wife Linda, great-grandchildren, Heather, Blair, Trevor of British Columbia; daughter Lorraine and husband Jack Lyons, grandchildren, Nancy and husband Henry Jokovac, great-grandchildren, Vanessa, and Dillian of Calgary. Grandson Mark and wife Victoria, great-grandchildren, Scott and Emily (British Columbia). Daughter Diane and husband Otto Ratfelder, grandchildren, Jeff (Regina), Dean and wife Rosemarie, Karen and husband Bobby Morgan; sons, Robert (British Columbia) and Kenny; plus five nieces and one nephew. We will miss you and think of always as we go through our daily lives, you are our inspiration. LOVE YOU MOM Family service will be held at a later date. Donations may be given to the Winnipeg Humane Society if friends so desire.
