Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCLIFFORD (CLIFF) HIRAM MEISNER After a courageous and determined twelve year struggle with cancer, it is with great sadness we announce the passing of our loved one Clifford, on April 22, 2006, at the age of 60 years. He passed peacefully at the Lakeshore General Hospital in Ashern, MB. He is survived, and will be sadly missed, by his wife Janis of 37 years; his daughters Evelyn Meisner and Ronalda (Karl) Hasse; and grandsons Troy and Shane; his brothers Art, Roy (Marline), John (Karen), Gordon (Elaine), Martin and sisters Alice (Harvey) Topnik, Emily (Cam) Holloway, and sister-in-law Edna Meisner and also many nieces and nephews. Cliff was predeceased by his parents Daniel and Amanda, step-father Art Nachtigall, brother David and sisters-in-law Sheila and Agnes. Cliff was born on July 17, 1945 in Grahamdale, MB. He was raised and attended school in the New Scotland School District. He attended St. Thomas Lutheran Church with his parents and was confirmed in Moosehorn in 1961. In 1968, Cliff and Janis were married and started their life together in Winnipeg where they raised their two daughters. Cliff worked at Canada Wire (Superior Essex) for 35 years until his illness forced him to retire. After residing in Winnipeg for many years, he followed his heart and moved back to Moosehorn where he enjoyed his last two years. Cliff enjoyed being outdoors with nature, backyard mechanics, yard work, riding his 4-wheeler and wiener roasts with family and friends. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 26, 2006 at the Peace Lutheran Church in Moosehorn with Rev. Larry Ulrich officiating. Interment to follow at the St. Thomas Cemetery. Family would like to extend many thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff at the Lakeshore General Hospital. Also special thanks to Dr. Rubinger, nurses and staff at CancerCare Manitoba and Health Sciences Centre. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to CancerCare Manitoba, 675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9, Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of Canada, CCFC National Office 600 - 60 St. Clair Ave. East, Toronto, ON M4T 1N5, or a charity of your choice.
