JOAO PEREIRIA MEDEIROS May 17, 1937 April 22, 2006 It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Joao Medeiros on Saturday at Riverview Health Centre at the age of 68 years. He is survived by his wife Lidia (Aguiar); daughter Linda; brother Manuel (Toronto); sisters Maria Da Luz (John) (Winnipeg.), Conceicao (Toronto), Gloria (Dinis) (Portugal), Rosarinha (Montreal) and Irnstina (Montreal) and many nieces and nephews. Joao was born in Sao Miguel, Acores, Portugal and immigrated to Winnipeg in 1971. He was a butcher in his career, working for City Meats. After retirement he loved to garden. The family would like to thank the HSC Emergency Unit for all their help. A big Thank-you to all the doctors, nurses and staff at Riverview Health Centre for all their kindness, caring and support during this difficult time. Prayers will be held on Wednesday, April 26 at 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, April 27 at 10:00 a.m. also at the Chapel with Rev. Msgr. Maurice Comeault, P.H., V.F. officiating. Interment to follow in Assumption Cemetery. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
