Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARGARET LYALL MACDONALD Margaret Lyall MacDonald, beloved wife of the late Garfield MacDonald, passed away peacefully on April 22, 2006. Born in Winnipeg, December 7, 1912, Margaret lived a full and giving life and meant a great deal to her niece and nephews who enjoyed many summers as young children at their house in Burchill Lake. In turn, she took great interest in their offspring, always looking for the perfect gift, attending concerts, and other events. Fond memories of Margaret will always be treasured by sisters Sheila White and Shirley McKay (Rob); nephews Ron Stewart (Elaine), John and Robert McKay (Nancy Pope), Gordon Steevens, and Murray White (Coral), and nieces Margaret Paterson (Michael Craig), and Pam White (Eric Mann). Her twelve grandnieces and grandnephews will also miss her greatly, as well as her friends, many who have predeceased her. Margaret attended high school at Kelvin and graduated in Arts at the University of Winnipeg. She was very involved in the St. Agnes Guild in support of the Children's Hospital. She was a golfer and a curler in her younger years, and in later years was an avid bowler into her late eighties. She was an accomplished pianist, sewer, and knitter and always wore blue. Thanks to the Charleswood Care Centre who took such good care of her for the past 2 1/2 years. Memorial service will be held at the Thomson Funeral Home, 669 Broadway on Saturday, April 29 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Children's Hospital would be appreciated.
