WINNIFRED MAY WOTHERSPOON (nee HOLBROW) 1915 - 2006 Peacefully on April 24, 2006 at the Grace General Hospital, Wyn, beloved aunt and dear friend of many, relinquished her spirit into the loving arms of her Lord. Wyn was born in Winnipeg on April 3, 1915 the second child of Leonard and Catherine Holbrow. She was predeceased by her husband Neil on April 23, 1999; her brothers Alfred (1996) and Wilfrid (1978) and sister Marjorie in infancy. Wyn is survived by numerous devoted nieces, nephews, friends and neighbours. Wyn led a quiet and simple life fueled by her love of God. She was the oldest living associate of the Sisters of St. John the Devine and in her earlier years was actively involved in the Girl Guide Movement. Her strength of spirit and her example of an honest life will be a guide and support to those whose lives she touched. Cremation has taken place. A service to celebrate Wyn's life will be held at All Saints' Anglican Church, Broadway and Osborne Street on Friday, April 28 at 1:00 p.m. with The Rev. Jamie Howison officiating. Interment will take place at St. John's Cathedral Cemetery following the service. The family would like to express a heartfelt thanks to Dr. Elin Bergman and Dr. John Toole for their exemplary care and also to the compassionate staff of the Grace Hospital. Wyn's wish to remain independent in her home was enabled by the support of W.R.H.A. Home Care providers and her wonderful neighbours. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to All Saints' Anglican Church or a charity of one's choice. Well done, thou good And faithful servant. THOMSON Funeral Chapels - 669 Broadway - 783-7211
