ELEANOR ANNA CHAPMAN August 13, 1921 - April 20, 2006 Eleanor was born on the homestead in Saskatchewan. She grew up in Shaunavon. She took her RN training at Providence Hospital in Moose Jaw; where she married Walter in 1947. Eleanor and Walter settled in Winnipeg to raise their family. After retiring, Eleanor went back to University and achieved her Batchelor of Arts in Sociology. She was an active member of Rebekah Lodge No. 52 for over 40 years. In later years Eleanor enjoyed playing bridge with her friends and turning her hand to art. Eleanor was predeceased by her husband Walter, her mother Amanda, father Martin and her eldest brother Manuel. She is survived by her brother Albert of Asheville North Carolina; children, Walter of London, England, Martin (Wanda) of Calgary, Linnea (David) of Kamloops, Loretta of Winnipeg; grandsons, Michael (Lorisa) of Vancouver, Brian (Melissa) of Fort St. John; great-grandchildren, Sean, Alexis and Spencer of Fort St. John; sister-in-law Fran of Dartmouth and many nieces and nephews. Memorial service will be held on Friday, April 28 at 11;00 a.m. at St. Mary's Anglican Church, 3830 Roblin Blvd. A private family interment will take place at a later date. Memorial donations are appreciated to the Winnipeg Humane Society in Eleanor's name. Arrangements entrusted to: CHAPEL LAWN FUNERAL HOME 885-9715
