DONALD WALTER WHITE June 7, 1939 - April 19, 2006 It is with heavy hearts and deepest regret that the family announces the sudden passing of their beloved Donald White on Wednesday, April 19, 2006. Don was predeceased by an infant son in 1967, his mother Agnes in 1969, and his father Walter in 1975. Don is survived by his loving daughter Sandra, son-in-law Geoff Stark, and beloved granddaughters, Catriona and Samantha. Don is also survived by his sister Charlotte Martin. Don will also be sadly missed by his wife and dear friend Lorraine, his best buddy Dennis Mazur, numerous nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends. Don was born and raised in Winnipeg. He received his B.A. and B.Ed. from the University of Manitoba. He began his teaching career in Poplar Field, MB, where he taught for two years. He started teaching in St. James-Assiniboia S.D. in 1964 at Brittania School, then Stevenson Junior High, John Taylor Collegiate, and lastly at Hedges Junior High until retired in 1994. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 29 at the Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. (south of the Royal Canadian Mint), with a reception to follow.
