Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryALVIN WAYNE HOTOMANI April 26, 1948 - April 22, 2006 Peacefully, our father, husband, and brother passed away in his sleep at the age of 57. Alvin was born and raised on the Ochapowace and Kahkewistahaw First Nation communities in Saskatchewan. He resided in Winnipeg, MB for the last 25 years with his family. Alvin will be greatly missed by his wife Sharron who he loved dearly and was married to for 40 years; daughter Mavis (Willard) Bittern; sons, Robert (Charlene) Hotomani, Faron (Lee) Whitequill, and Sheldon (Bernice) Hotomani; grandchildren, Sophia, Bailey, Mckenzie, Mallory, Miranda, and Ty who will all deeply miss their mushum. Alvin will also be missed by his sisters, Wanda (Bob) Koch, Karen (Alvin) Delorme, Diane (Guy) Sanford, Yvonne Starr and Eula Hotomani; brothers Emile (Florine) Hotomani, Bruce (Elsie) Hotomani: aunties, Lillian Moosmay, Mary Noname, and Beatrice Moosmay, who always kept in touch with her nephew; and who he called his favourite sister-in-laws, Bonnie (Jerry) Alexson, Wendy (Alvin) Hotomani, Joanne (Dennis) Alexson, Christina (Alex) Lerat, Marla (Maurice) Louison, Myra Alexson, Geri Alexson and Joyce (Robert) Neapetung; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews across Canada. For the past 22 years, Alvin was dedicated and hard working in providing for his family at MacDon Industries. Alvin enjoyed hunting and fishing, listening to pow wow music and NCI - FM, and most of all, gathering with his family where he often shared stories from the past and present. He taught his children how to live well and embrace life through family values. He was also making a personal journey that he shared with his wife and children. The family wishes to thank everyone who came to be with us this past weekend, you all travelled so far and near to grieve with us. Thank-you Bharat Sookrram for your visit and kind words about our father and the friendships he made at MacDon; our father was looking forward to going to Calgary. We are thankful for the support from our father's sisters and brothers in carrying out his final wishes; we love you for this. We look forward to seeing everyone when we all pay our final respects to our father, husband, brother, uncle, friend and colleague. We will pray and assist in our father's spirit to join with his parents and relatives in his passing. A viewing will be held on Tuesday, April 25, 2006 from 7:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Winnipeg, MB. Family and friends are invited to share their personal closure and well wishing. A final viewing and a celebration of his life will commence at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 26, 2006 also in the chapel. The family will invite everyone to 608 Anderson for a barbecue and farewell to family and friends. We look forward to seeing you all. Alvin will be cremated and his ashes will be returned to a place he dreamed of in Saskatchewan and a feast will commemorate this at a later date. Cropo Funeral Chapel 586-8044
