MAURICE It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the peaceful passing of their brother, husband, father and Pa (grandfather), Gerry Maurice on Monday, April 24, 2005. He was 75 years old. Predeceased by his parents, Philias and Lucie; his brothers, Louis and Edouard; and his sister Yvonne. He will be dearly missed by his wife of 49 years, Shirley; his daughter Karen Croft; his son Jamie (Heather); and grandchildren, Kyle, Krista and Brett Maurice and Bryce, Cooper and Ryan Croft. He is survived by his sisters, Lucille Maurice, Flora (Auger), Jeanette (Emile) Champagne, Clemence (Dollard) Bruyère, Sr. Cécile Maurice (Présentation de Marie) and Pierrette (Louis) Manaigre, his aunt Sr. Cécile Maurice (Grey Nuns) and many dear nieces and nephews. Retirement in 1986 from a career in Recreation for the city and provinces of Manitoba and Ontario, brought him enjoyment with his grandchildren, his music, his amazing hand at cooking, gardening, golf, crossword and jigsaw puzzles, volunteering at UNICEF and The Food Bank and lately, lunches every first Friday with his dear sisters. In his memory, bring a tin for the bin to church, plant a begonia, and hug your loved ones! Prayers will take place at Desjardins Funeral Chapel, 357 Des Meurons St. at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 27. Funeral mass will be held at Mary, Mother of the Church, 85 Kirkbridge Dr. at Pembina Highway at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, April 28 with Fr. Carl Tarnopolsky presiding.
