FRANK AUGUSTUS VINKLE Peacefully and surrounded by his son-in-law Dennis and close family friend Tammy, Frank went to be with the rest of his family. Frank passed away April 23, 2006 in Winnipeg after a quiet battle with cancer. Frank was born July 5, 1927 in Haileybury, ON. He is survived by his children, daughter Shelley (Dennis) and grandson Derek, Derek's stepbrothers, Allan and Branson; son Barry (Blanche) and grandchildren, Lisa (Darren), Chad (Erin) and Lori (Mike); great-grandchildren, Brett, Kyle, Kelsey, Jordan, Abbey, Reese and Chloe and his wife Helen of Snow Lake. Frank was predeceased by his parents, Rose and Nelson; brothers, Willie, Ernie, Ab; and sister Sally. Frank was a tramp miner in Northern Ontario, Northern Manitoba and retired from mining in Snow Lake, MB. Shelley would like to thank family and friends, who visited with him during his stay at the Hilton , especially his grandson Derek who went faithfully every single day sometimes twice a day and family who travelled from far away to visit: nephews, Jim, Raymond and Doug; his grandson Chad and his wife Helen. A special thank you to his girlfriend Lynn, Ruby, Gary, Simone, Grace, Taryn and Sam for their frequent visits and the Grace Hospice staff for the loving care and companionship given to Frank during his stay there. Memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 29 at 12:30 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. Family and friends are invited to sign the Book of Condolence at www.chapellawn.mb.ca.
