ENRIQUE (HENRY) RUBEN EISMENDI After a courageous battle with cancer, it is with great sadness we announce the passing of our beloved Henry, on April 24, 2006, at the age of 60 years. He passed away surrounded by his loving family and friends at Seven Oaks Hospital. He is survived, and will be greatly missed by his wife Candida of 41 years; his mother Olga; and his mother-in-Law Guiessepina Gabriele; his loving children, Tony (Corinne), Henry (Liz), Patricia Wallwin (David), Mark (Debbie); his cherished grandchildren, Adam, Eric, Ryan, Miranda, Matthew, Madelyn, Keana, Miah and Jamie. Also, his dear sisters, Nilda Marino and Mabel Garcea (John) and numerous family and friends. Henry was predeceased by his father Enrique Eismendi, father-in-Law Vincenzo Gabriele and his brother-in-law Carlos Marino. Henry was born in Campana, Argentina and at 18 years of age he married the love of his life Candida there they had their first son Tony. Henry's positive attitude and ambitiousness brought him to Winnipeg in 1968. From there Henry and Candy raised four children and strived for success in business and in life. A big part of his life was his work and those he worked with as a partner in Gibraltar Concrete and Manshield Construction. Henry lived his life full of passion and love, everything he did was always done to the full extent, he never did things half-way. Barbecuing and gardening were his passions and helping those in need. Henry's love for his country never diminished by living in Canada. He had a vision for all Argentinean immigrants to be able to come together as a community and have a home away from home. Thus, the Argentinean Manitoban Association was born and has grown into a successful organization. It was not just the Argentinean Community that he touched. When he first arrived in Winnipeg it was the Italian Community he embraced as his own. He made many new friends and was part of building it what it is today. Prayers will be held on Thursday, April 27 at 7:30 p.m. at Holy Rosary Church, 510 River Ave. Funeral service will be held on Friday, April 28 at 11:00 a.m., also in the Holy Rosary Church. Entombment will follow in the Queen of Heaven Mausoleum, 3990 Portage Ave. The family extends their deepest thanks to Henry's wonderful doctors, Dr. S. Szajkowski, Dr. Tan, Dr. N. Swirsky, Dr. A. Maksymiuk, Dr. J. Embil and dear friend Dr. M. Garcia; home care nurses (Ursula), staff at Health Sciences Centre and special thanks to staff at Seven Oaks Hospital showing such care and compassion especially during his last hours. Thank you to Fr. Sam Argenziano and to all family and friends for your kindness and support. The Coutu family in care of arrangements: E. J. COUTU CO. FUNERAL DIRECTORS 680 Archibald Street 253-5086
