FRANCES BYRD With profound sorrow we mourn the passing of our deeply loved mother on Monday, April 24, 2006. She will be sadly missed by her daughter Lori; sons, Gary (Susan) and Brent (Jan); companion Fred; sister Carol; brothers, Stan (Fran), Henry (Vi) and Bernie (Liz); and many extended family and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Raymond; parents, Louis and Teckla and brother Kasmier. Fran was born in Cooks Creek, MB and later moved to Winnipeg. She received her Human Resource professional designation and worked the majority of her career as a Human Resource Staffing Coordinator with Centra Gas. She held a variety of volunteer, committee and board member positions which included University of Winnipeg Public Relations, Manitoba Chamber Orchestra, Manitoba Electrical Museum, United Way, CWL and Creative Retirement. After retirement she enjoyed golf, skiing, curling, bridge and extensive travel. Her summers were spent in her beautiful garden and with the family at the Dudeck farm. Fran lived life to the fullest. The family would like to thank the staff of Woman's Hospital 5th floor and Riverview 3E for their care and compassion. Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to CancerCare Manitoba Foundation Inc. or to Riverview Health Centre Unit 3E. Memorial mass will be celebrated on Friday, April 28 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church, 250 Burrin Ave. with Rev. Msgr. Michael L. Moore, P.H. presiding. Interment will follow at Holy Ghost Roman Catholic Cemetery. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
