MANFRED (FRED) ZOZMAN We sadly announce that on April 24, 2006, Manfred Ernst Zozman, aged 72, passed away peacefully, with his family by his side. He will be sadly remembered by his surviving family, daughters, Diana Zozman (Bernie Lutzer), Dora Zushman (Ken); and grandsons, Stefan, Karsten and Aidan. He also leaves behind his sister Edith; niece Astrid; nephew Olaf; devoted friends, Hilda and Henry Huber and many other special cottage friends, as well as former wife Lilli Barthels. Fred was predeceased by wife Anni Zozman and mother Elisabeth Zotzmann. Fred immigrated to Canada, September 9, 1957, and later married Anni on April 12, 1960. His chosen profession was carpentry and he owned his own business in partnership with Henry Huber. Soccer was a sport he enjoyed playing while growing up in Germany and he continued to love to follow it here in Winnipeg. Lake life was a special part of Fred's life. He built his own cottage and spent many busy, yet happy week-ends there every summer. Papa particularly enjoyed the many dogs at the lake as they always brought a smile to his face. Later in life Papa enjoyed collecting model cars and spending time with his family and especially his grandchildren. A service of remembrance will take place on April 29 at 2:00 p.m. at Klassen Funeral Home, 1897 Henderson Hwy. A private interment will be held at a later date. If friends so desire, memorial contributions can be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, 102 - 310 Broadway, Winnipeg, R3C 0S6. Our sincere thanks to the High Observation Unit, 4th floor at the Health Sciences Centre for their compassionate care. Papa, your generous heart will be sadly missed. Love, Diana and Dora Arrangements in care of: KLASSEN FUNERAL HOME 1897 Henderson - North of McIvor - 338-0331 Help us support Winnipeg Harvest by bringing a Tin for the Bin
