PATRICIA SUSAN OVERLY After a courageous battle with cancer, and surrounded by her loving family, it is with extreme sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, aunt and friend Patricia on Wednesday April 26, 2006 at the age of 44 years. Patricia will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 25 years Gordon; daughter Sarah and her husband Jason; son Paul; sisters, Carol and Marion; close family Laura and Patrick Hogue, Reg and Lois Overly, and countless nieces, nephews and friends. Patricia loved to visit her family in Gimli and Fraserwood and spoke often with her godmother Edith in Vancouver. Patricia was predeceased by her parents Joseph and Gertrude; her sister Phyllis and her brother Lorne. Patricia was born in Winnipeg and moved to Ile des Chenes shortly after her marriage to Gordon in 1980. Patricia was an active member of the community participating in the school parent council, the church council and the Seniors Rendezvous. In recent years Pat's career was as an insurance broker. She enjoyed her work and the many friendships she made there. Patty's greatest passion was her love for family and friends. She enjoyed her many years at her cottage at Belair and Lester Beach and the many friendships she had there. Patty loved every aspect of nature and her country surroundings, the birds, animals and especially her family pets. Patty received excellent care at Cancer Care Manitoba, H.S.C. and St. Boniface Hospital and her family wishes to thank the staff. A celebration of Patty's life will be held on Saturday, April 29, 2006. Mass will be celebrated at 10:20 a.m. at Notre Dame de - La - Misericorde Catholic Church, 453 Main St., Ile Des Chenes, MB. Cremation has taken place. Burial will follow at a later date.
