LESLIE SCOTT Peacefully, at age 91, Les Scott passed away on Thursday, April 27, 2006 at the Grace Hospital. Les was predeceased by his wife Ivy in 1990 and his brothers George and Bill. He will be sadly missed by his children, Robert, Doug (Cheryl), Christine (Lawrence), Betty (Lou) and special son John; his grandchildren and great-grandchildren and his brother Hugh (Ethel). His working career was with Crescent Creamery, Coca-Cola and the Department of Transport at the Winnipeg Airport, retiring at age 65. Les lived his entire life as a resident of the town of Headingley. In his younger years he was a Scout leader and played baseball with the local team. He especially enjoyed curling which he continued to play into his 80s. In his later years he enjoyed watching sports and was the family statistician. Les was a longtime member of ANAF Unit 283 and was commonly referred to as Pappy . The family would like to extend special thanks to the staff of Metropolitan Kiwanis Courts for their loving care and friendship, while Les was a resident. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 3, at 3:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. Interment and reception will follow.
