BURNELL BUTTERFIELD It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Burnell Butterfield peacefully at his home on Thursday, April 27, 2006, after a short battle with cancer. Burnell leaves to cherish his memory his wife Carol of 45 years; son Dale (Aileen Yakiwchuk); daughter Sharen (Brian Symondson); and grandchildren, Alexandria and Sean Symondson. Burnell was predeceased by his father Norman, mother Elsie and brother Lyle. He is survived by his brother Carmen (Lorraine), sister Eileen (Bob Monkman) and brother Louie Lavoie (Eva) and their families. Burnell worked for ICI for 25 years and retired to Stonewall. For the last 13 years he enjoyed puttering around on his land as well as participating in the Stonewall Antique Car Club and the Stonewall Curling Club. In the summer he thoroughly enjoyed helping Jack, Camille and Kurtis during haying season. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 2 at 11:00 a.m. at the MacKenzie Funeral Chapel, Stonewall. Interment will take place at South Victoria Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations to CancerCare Manitoba or the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
