BEVERLEY JEAN ROBINSON It is with sadness we announce the sudden passing of Beverley Jean Robinson at her home on April 27, 2006. Predeceased by her parents, William N. and Anna (Graham) Robinson and her brother Dr. J. Meredith Robinson, she is survived by her darling' first cousins, Jean Chaplin of Ottawa, ON, Betty Corkran of Windsor, NS, Betty Bell of Kelowna, BC, Barbara Young of Sussex, NB, Dorothy-Lou Stephens of Vancouver, BC, John Robinson of Sussex, NB, many other cousins and good friends. Bev was born in Winnipeg, MB and aside from an 18-year sojourn in San Francisco, California, lived in the city she loved so passionately for her lifetime. Bev attended Robert H. Smith and Rupertsland Schools and then went on to attend Business College. As a young women she worked at Singer's, both in Winnipeg and Montreal. It was during her time at Singer's that many of her lifelong friendships were formed. Bev enjoyed being with people and always displayed an intense interest in learning all that she could about them. Her enthusiasm for life knew no bounds - Bev loved a good party, (especially if dancing was involved), the odd martini or two, having lunch or dinner with her pals, bowling at Uptown Lanes, entertaining in her home, and spending time in her backyard having a glass of wine with her friends. But her favourite pastime of all was the game of bridge and, at this, she excelled as she had a very competitive spirit. Bev was an excellent conversationalist and had a keen sense of humour, which we all enjoyed. Bev made a host of friends over her lifetime, both in Canada and the United States, and her presence will be sorely missed by all. Bev was a unique individual and nobody could ever be neutral about her. She was a loyal and kind friend to all of us. The Golden Girls will miss the good times and the laughs we had together. Rest in peace, dear friend. A memorial service to celebrate Bev's life will be held Tuesday, May 2 at 1:00 p.m. at St. George's Crescentwood Anglican Church, 168 Wilton St. (at Grosvenor Avenue). THOMSON Funeral Chapel - 669 Broadway - 783-7211

  • Dearest Bev, I am still so raw from the passing of my mom, your dear friend Terry but am pleased that we enjoyed a lengthy, bittersweet conversation when I called to tell you recently. You became my friend too, and I will cherish every moment we shared. Dave, Jeff and I miss our mom so much, but find comfort knowing that you are together again. Her passing broke our hearts. To lose you too has left us shattered. I will miss you terribly, but will carry you in my heart always. Bless your soul.
