HANNAH (ANNE) DORGE (nee PRATT) January 1, 1924 - April 26, 2006 It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Anne died peacefully at Morris General Hospital after a lengthy battle with her health. Anne was born and raised in Fairyhill, England, County of Durham. This is where she met her beloved husband of 61 years, Elie Dorge in an ice skating rink where she loved to skate. Prior to coming to Canada with Elie as a war bride, Anne ran her own business as a hairdresser in England. She was a hard working woman who took pride in raising her family. Anne had many talents, one of which was knitting beautiful sweaters for her family. Anne enjoyed the company of her many pets which included raising fish, cats, dogs, and the various strays brought home by the kids. She was also an avid reader, enjoyed music, loved to sing opera, loved camping, nature, traveling, fishing, cooking, baking, playing the piano and watching her Coronation Street which reminded her of home. Anne was very proud of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren who she spoiled on a regular basis. She loved them all dearly and will be missed by them all. Anne leaves to cherish her memory, her loving husband, Elie; son Raymond Dorge (Gail Sibley), daughters Lynne Dundas (Barry), Gloria Cromie (Blake), son Brian Dorge (Arlene), and daughter Gisele Bennett (Mike); her grandchildren, Ian Dundas, Cindy Kowalyk (Cory), Hailey and Troy Cromie; Scott, Shaun and Shaylene Bennett; her great grandchildren Keira and Taylor Kowalyk; and her many brothers-and-sisters-in-law. Funeral mass will be held in her honor at the Ste Agathe Roman Catholic Church in Ste Agathe, MB, on Wednesday, May 3 at 4:00 pm. Interment to follow at the church cemetery. In accordance with Anne's wishes, cremation has already taken place. If family and friends so desire donations can be made to the Canadian Diabetes Foundation or the Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation in Anne's name. The family wishes to express their thanks to the many people that cared for Anne as her health declined. Thank you to the homecare providers and the nurses and doctors at both the Morris General Hospital and the Health Science Centre. Rest in peace Mom, you will always be in our hearts.
