THOMAS BARSTAD SR. May 27, 1931 April 28, 2006 Peacefully, with his family by his side, Thomas passed away on Friday, April 28, 2006, at the Seven Oaks General Hospital at the age of 74 years. Thomas leaves to cherish his memory his brothers, Lloyd and Ken; daughters, Brenda (Cyril), Sharon (Rob) and Linda; his sons, Jeff and Bob; grandchildren, Bradley, Brian, Brett, Steven; Sean, Chris, Jonathan and April; great-grandson Jonathan Jr.; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends. He was predeceased by his wife Edith and son Tom Jr. Thomas' funeral service will be held Wednesday, May 3 at 10:30 a.m. in Silver Heights United Church, 199 Garrioch Avenue (corner Mount Royal Rd. and Ness Ave.). For those who wish, parking will be available in the Seventh-Day Adventist Church parking lot located on Ness Avenue. Interment will follow in Brookside Cemetery, 3001 Notre Dame Ave. Special thanks to the staff at the Seven Oaks General Hospital, who took great care of our dad while he was there. As well, to the nurses, Jackie Smith and Bev, who had seen him while he was at home. It broke our hearts to lose you, But you did not go alone For part of us went with you The day God called you home.
