DORA ROSE SUMMERS (nee ELSEY) February 12, 1922 April 30, 2006 Mom passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 30, 2006 at Concordia Hospital. Dora was predeceased by her husband Alex. Mom / Nana will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her son Bruce; daughter Rosemary and son-in-law Claude du Bourg; granddaughter Chantal Bourget and her husband Darryl; grandson Joël du Bourg and sister Ruby McCullough. Dora was born in Red Hill, Surrey and came to Canada in 1948 with her husband. She spent her working years at Eaton's. The family would like to thank Dr. Dexter, the nurses and the staff of the 3rd Floor and N1 North at Concordia Hospital. Also special thanks to Gertrude. Cremation has taken place. At Mom's request, there will be no service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Dora's memory to CancerCare Manitoba, 675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, R3E 0V9 or to the Winnipeg Humane Society, 5 Kent St., Winnipeg, R2L 1X3.
