RAYMOND JOSEPH DESROSIERS April 10, 1945 - April 30, 2006 It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden, peaceful passing of our husband, father and grandfather Raymond Joseph Desrosiers of Anola, MB, on April 30, 2006, at the age of 61 years. Raymond was born in the small town of Treherne, MB where he grew up with his brothers and sisters. Raymond then travelled to Winnipeg where he would live and meet Joyce, his beloved wife of 43 years. He was very successful as an automotive mechanic, employed at the Regent Avenue Canadian Tire Store from 1960 until his retirement in 2005. Raymond's passions in life were the great outdoors; he loved to rise early in the morning and enjoy the work around his yard. Countless hours were spent cutting and trimming trees. Raymond enjoyed a hard days work. You could find him in the early hours of the morning cutting firewood for his neighbours and friends. Raymond had a very giving heart. He would go out of his way to lend a hand to any needy soul. He had a special place in his heart for his two cats, Lucky and Mittens . Raymond and Mittens enjoyed many hours snuggled up in his favourite chair. Raymond will be lovingly remembered by his wife Joyce (Sass); daughter Darlene Lee (Dave) of Dufresne; son Darryl of Winnipeg; and grandchildren, Angela and Steven Thiessen of Winnipeg. Also left to mourn their brother are siblings, Tina Boses (Brian) in Alberta, George (Terry) of Winnipeg, Mark Morelli (Heidi) of Winnipeg, Angela Morelli (Murray) of Winnipeg and Julie Brechin (Jerry) in Alberta; as well as several sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and friends. He was predeceased by brother Bobby. Memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m., Friday, May 5 at Green Acres Funeral Home, Hwy. No. 1 E. at Navin Road. In lieu of flowers, should friends and families so wish, donations in Raymond's memory may be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society, 5 Kent St., Winnipeg, MB R2L 1X3.
