CATHY LENORE JENNINGS (WALKER)

Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCATHY LENORE JENNINGS (nee WALKER) Cathy was born in Winnipeg, MB on March 15, 1953 to Neville and Dorothy Walker. She lived a few years in Silver Heights and most years in East Transcona where she attended schools. After grade 12 she attended Herzing Institute and graduated with honors as a medical secretary, worked at St. Boniface Hospital and then saw Canada by working at hospitals in Calgary, Edmonton and Vancouver. She returned to Winnipeg to work at Manitoba Xray. Her position was in the Nephrology Dept. of St. Boniface Hospital. Left to mourn her passing are her loving husband Bruce; daughter Tracy (Russ); son Rob; three grandchildren, Kory, Joey and Lemmy; three stepsons Sean, Adam and Christopher Jennings and step granddaughter Dakota, mom and dad Walker; sister Judy Walker; brother John (Cheryl) Walker of Surrey, B.C.; aunt Jackie Catto, Kettleby, ON., uncle Gordon (Jackie) Walker, Calgary; aunt Chris Walker, Coquitlam, B.C.; nieces and nephews and many cousins. Cathy was well known for her humour as well as excellent spelling, speed and accuracy as a typist. She will be missed by her many friends and Drs. and nurses in the medical field, all too numerous to list. Cathy and Bruce travelled whenever possible to Hawaii, Toronto, Port Carling and Muskoka Lakes joining Aunt Jackie and cousins at the cottage. Her wishes were to be cremated. A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held Saturday, May 6 at 2:00 p.m. at Transcona Memorial United Church, 209 Yale Ave. W. In lieu of flowers, please hand out hugs, Cathy would like that. Donations if you wish may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Manitoba Schizophrenia Society.
