Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMICHAEL STANLEY URBAN Passed away at Oakview Personal Care Home in Winnipeg May 4, 2006 at the age of 87 years. Michael was born in Rossburn, MB on February 24, 1919. He served in the Air Force overseas during the Second World War from 1942 to 1945. Michael and family lived in Shilo, MB until 1967 where he worked for the Armed Forces as a professional photographer and projectionist. The family moved to Winnipeg in 1968 where Michael continued working as a Projectionist until his retirement in 1986. Michael was a music lover and enjoyed both listening to music, and playing the trumpet. He was known by his friends and family as a man who could fix or repair anything and enjoyed doing this in his spare time. Michael leaves to mourn his passing his wife Nell; daughters, Cheryl Thurston and Maureen (Myron) Hutmacher; grandchildren, Vanessa, Jessica, Neil, Rachel, Jonathan and Gina, brother Lawrence Urban (Winnipeg) and sister Lillian Gibson (Edmonton) and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family. He was predeceased by his daughter Judy (Marshall) in 1997. Funeral services will be held in Rossburn, MB on Saturday, May 13 at 12:30 p.m. at St. Theresa Roman Catholic Church. Interment to follow.
