ANASTASIA (MARY) HRYNENKO (nee ZINKEWYCZ) With the love of her life by her side, Mary peacefully passed away May 2, 2006 at the Repos Jolys Nursing Home, St. Pierre, MB at the age of 86. Mary was born in Lublynec-Nowyj, Lubaczow, Poland to Ivan Zinkewycz and Ksenia Duda on April 29, 1920. Mom/Baba will always be lovingly remembered for her speed and precision in potato peeling, passion for feather plucking, her kindness and her smile, which would light up a room. Mary was predeceased by her parents, son Nicholas, grandson David and one grandson in infancy. Mary is survived by her husband of 59 years Michael; sons, Roman (Judy), Tony (Denise) and Jarvis (Cindy); daughter Elsie (Reid Runka); grandchildren, Michael (Sara), Melissa, Glenn, Erin and Adam; great-grandchildren, Tyler and Brendan. Pallbearers: Michael Hrynenko, Adam Runka, Glenn Hrynenko, Melvin Lischynski, Roman Chubey and Nicholas Werestiuk. Thank you to the staff of the Repos Jolys for the outstanding care provided to Mary over the years. Prayers will be said Sunday, May 7 at 7:00 p.m. at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, 150 Penfeld Dr., Steinbach, MB. The funeral service will be held Monday, May 8 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Eucharist Ukrainian Catholic Church, Rosa, MB with Rev. Fr. Gregory Zubacz officiating. Interment at the church cemetery.
