Condolences & Memories (1 entries)

  • My daughter met Jacky at the Community Center dance just once and once was all she needed to teach her a valued lesson. My daughter didn`t know anyone at the dance. Jacky came up to her and offered her a friendship for the night. There was a boy that really liked my daughter since grade one but she found him to be very annoying. That boy was at the dance and that night a girl with a walker and a heart bigger than herself talked to my daughter about how nice this boy was and that he was her ex-boyfriend. That night when I drove home with my daughter I looked over at her and she was crying. She told me she felt really bad because of the way she thought of that boy and was very sorry. Jacky had taught her how to look inside a person at their heart and not their appearance. I feel that Jacky taught my daughter a valuable lesson and at 25 I see her still using what she was taught that night. It is 2013 and I only met Jacky once but would see her and Courtney in their wheelchairs. I know that if there is a heaven Jacky probably has the biggest wings available. I also met Jacky's mom that night and someone hopefully it was just without thinking ask her mom how she could be so happy going through what she is. She held her head high and said after they`re gone I will have the rest of my life to mourn. I told that to my cousin that has since lost her son to cancer. She thanked for telling her to enjoy her son while he was still with her and to mourn him later when she had all the time. She told me that was the most valuable advice she was given and she was grateful she had taken it. Rest in piece Jackie and take care of your sister. You were an exceptional girl - Posted by: Roslyn (acquaintance) on: Jan 18, 2013
