Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCHRISTIAN (CHRIS) DAMAN 1920 - 2006 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Dad, Christian Daman, on May 4, 2006 at the Victoria General Hospital. Chris was predeceased by his loving wife, Mollie, his daughter Sharon Leach, his parents Jan and Marie Daman, sisters, Dene Mulder, Mary Doherty, Annie Keedian, and Leida Topley and brothers, George, John, and Bill Daman. He is survived by son Grant (Zoila) Daman; daughter Heather (Bob) Falconer; son-in-law Paul Leach; grandchildren, Katherine (Bob), Jennifer, Robbie, Jordan (Tracey), James (Janet), Natalia, Caroline, and Christopher; great-grandchildren, Carson, Courtlyn, Fahren, and Bryce; and sister Johanna Morton and numerous nieces and nephews. Chris' early years were spent in the Bird's Hill area until the family moved to the farm in St. Vital in 1934. He remained there all his life where he ran a mink ranch and a market garden. Chris enjoyed fishing along with hunting at the shack with friends and family. His passions were the garden and greenhouses. Dad was a devoted Husband, Father, Papa, and Great-Papa. He was respected by his family, many friends and nieghbours who enjoyed his sense of humour, quiet manner, and stable presence. The family wishes to thank Dr. Pacin and the staff at the Victoria General Hospital and a very special thanks to Dr. Choptiany for the extra care over the years. Dad will be greatly missed, but never forgotten. A private interment will take place and a memorial service will be held on Tuesday, May 9 at 11:00 a.m. at Thomson In the Park Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Blvd. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 200-6 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6 or the Victoria General Hospital Foundation, 2340 Pembina Hwy., Winnipeg, MB R3T 2E8 THOMSON IN THE PARK FUNERAL HOME AND CEMETERY 1291 MCGILLIVRAY BLVD (BETWEEN PEMBINA WAVERLEY) 925-1120
