WALTER DANIEL DUECK Peacefully, with his family by his side, Walter Dueck, aged 69 years, passed away on May 7, 2006 at the Gimli Community Health Center. He will be forever remembered by his wife of 48 years, Mary; children, Cindy (Fern), Gary (Donna), Kathy (Michael) and Nancy; grandchildren, Nikki, David, Ashley, Scott, Jordan, Mark, Kaitlyn and Brittany; brother Art (Marion) and mother-in-law, Annie. Wally was predeceased by his parents and sisters, Eva (Abe) and Helen (Ed). Wally worked for Grey Goose Bus Lines for 38 years, most of them as a bus driver. He and Mary raised their family in Transcona and they later retired in Gimli. He enjoyed spending time with his family, playing cards and entertaining us with his accordian. He enjoyed calling bingo at the local community club as well as painting butterflies. The family would like to express their thanks and appreciation to the staff at the Gimi Hospital and to special neighbour, Judy for her friendship and support. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Wally's life will be held on Wednesday, May 10th at 10:30 a.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Home in Gimli, 50-1st Ave. with Pastor Rainie McKinnon officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation in Wally's memory. Gilbart Funeral Home, Gimli in care of arrangements.
