EDDIE P. RUCHKALL February 28, 1931 May 8, 2006 After a long happy life, Eddie Peter Ruchkall peacefully passed away leaving his loving, caring wife Mary, son Dave (Susan) and daughter Sharon. He also leaves four dear granddaughters, Riki, Jackie, Ashley and Jade. Saddened by his passing are his brother Albert (Iris); sisters, Joyce, and Violet (Ken); sister-in-law Helen, brothers-in-law, Len (Jeanette), Joe (Diane); along with numerous loving nieces, nephews and friends. Eddie was predeceased by his parents Andrew and Anna, his brother Julian, and sister Jean. Eddie was born February 28, 1931 in Beausejour, MB. He was raised in Hazelglen and went on to meet the love of his life Mary; they were married on October 2, 1954. Eddie was employed for 30 years with Winnipeg Building and Decorating as a painter. He and his family enjoyed trips to Hawaii, Las Vegas and traveling through the States. He also enjoyed many years of fishing, camping, and snowmobiling with family and friends. Eddie had a wonderful, infectious sense of humour, which he shared with everyone. He also had an incredible ability to gratefully accept all of life's challenges. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service to celebrate Eddie's life will take place at the Transcona Funeral Chapel, 1800 Day St. on May 11, at 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Society for Manitobans with Disabilities or a charity of your choice.
