MARY LADOBRUK Mary Ladobruk (nee Konowalchuk) passed away peacefully on May 8, 2006, at age 87, at Bethesda Place She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Paul and (Gracia), Summerland, BC, Shirley and (Wayne Bill), Calgary, AB, Loretta Janz, Steinbach, Deanna and (Kim Benjamin), Winnipeg, Ken and (Barb), Steinbach, Allan, Kamloops, BC, Tom and (Ang), Kamloops, BC, Brenda and (George Lesage), Steinbach, 19 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; four sisters, Pauline Senkiw, Helen Senkiw, Sophie Stokes, Sally Kalinski; one brother Peter Konowalchuk. She was predeceased by her husband, Peter Ladobruk and her sons, Jack and Eddy, her son-in-law Reg Janz, one sister, Ann Makar and half-brother Norman Konowalchuk. We will always remember our mom and Baba at family gatherings, outings and picnics in the Marchand area. She was a proud supporter of the children's activities and always attended the baseball and hockey games. As a member of the Friendensfeld Hall she enjoyed working many weekends. She was a dedicated member of and attended St. Peter Paul Ukrainian Orthodox Church in Sarto as long as her health permitted. The family acknowledges and appreciates the staff at Bethesda Place for the care, respect and kindness shown to our mother. Prayers will be said Wednesday, May 10 at 7:30 p.m. at Steinbach Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Thursday, May 11 at 11:00 a.m. at Steinbach Funeral Home, with interment following at Heritage Cemetery, Steinbach.
