EMILY JANE MCKAY At the St. Boniface Hospital, on May 8, 2006, with her family by her side, Emily Jane McKay of Fisher River Cree Nation, passed away peacefully at the age of 82 years. Emily was predeceased by her husband Clifton; daughters, Sylvia, and Margaret; brother Frank (Maggie) Felix; four grand-children; six great-grandchildren. Emily leaves to cherish her memory her sons, Leslie (Lisa), Wilson (Ellen) and Clifton (Bertha); her daughters, Freda (Earl), Viola, Sherill (Joe), Donna (Carlton), Timberly (Don), and Kathleen (Fred); grandchildren that she raised, Erick (Carmen), Bertha, Fredrick (Laura) Emily, Agnes, and Myra; 58 grand-children, 120 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Rita (Barney), Rosalie, and Esther; brother Wilfred; sisters-in-law, Libby, Dorothy, and Brena; brother-in-law Henry (Lorna); numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. Emily lived most of her life in Fisher River. She enjoyed making blankets, knitting, going to church, listening to gospel music, having company and visiting with family and friends. In her later years, Emily lived in Winnipeg with her daughter Sherill. Mom will be always loved and remembered. The family would like to thank the St. Boniface Hospital staff, and friends and family for their love and support. Wake services will be held on Thursday, May 11 and Friday, May 12 at 7:00 p.m. both evenings. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 13 at 1:00 p.m. All of these services will be held at the Fisher River Pentecostal Church, Fisher River, MB. Asst.
