OSCAR LAGASSE May 1, 1937 - May 9, 2006 After a brief illness, it is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Oscar Lagassé, aged 69 years of St. Adolphe, MB. Oscar is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Alma (née Pelletier) and their four daughters, Denise Feeleus (Gary) Stephanie, and Courtney, Lorraine Murphy (Ed) Eric, Evan and Shayne, Rachel Lagacé (Garry) Melissa and Owen, and Mona Moins (Marc) Vanessa, Madison and Annika. He will be sadly missed by his two sisters, Sr. Laurette and Sr. Pauline Lagassé, Filles De La Croix and two brothers, Laurent (Germaine) and André (Sharon), along with numerous nephews and nieces. Oscar was predeceased by his parents, Elie and Hélène (Comeau). Oscar was born, raised and lived his entire life in St. Adolphe, MB. He took great pride in his work and made many friends while employed at Vieville Building Movers, Louis Legal Construction, MB Sugar Company and the R.M. of Ritchot where he retired in 2002. Oscar enjoyed the outdoors and taking care of his yard, flowers and garden. His passion has always been working with his hands and since his retirement has had the opportunity to devote more time to his many special projects. He loved being surrounded by his family and had a special place in his heart for his ten grandchildren. We will miss his great sense of humour and his willingness to help his family and friends. Our family extends sincere thanks to Dr. Kevin Warrian, Dr. Kostyk and the wonderful nurses and aides on the 5th floor at the St. Boniface Hospital for their care and compassion. For the many people whose lives Oscar touched, we invite you to attend a celebration of his life. Prayers will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, May 12 followed by the funeral service at 2:30 p.m. at the St. Adolphe Roman Catholic Church in St. Adolphe, MB. Rest in peace DAD, you will always be in our hearts. LECLAIRE BROTHERS in care of arrangements. 775-2220
