JEAN (GENIA) ANDRUCHUK February 20, 1922 - May 6, 2006 Grandma's kitchen is closed and her coffee shop has gone out of business. Jean's sewing room is silent and her paintbrush is still. Mom has now moved on to be with her first love, Mike who left us on June 28, 1997. Mike and Jean opened the doors to Safeway Electric in 1950. Many will miss her cooking, her multitude of talents, and her generous spirit. Left to mourn are her children, Mike Jr. (Florence), Rick (Allison), Justine (Frank), Jeffrey and Mom's watchdog, Buddy ; grandchildren, Bob (Darlene), Michelle (Greg), Tamara, Kathryn, Kirsten, Amy, Holly, Christopher and Jason; great-grandchildren, Stephanie, Grant and Ethan. Special thanks to the staff at the Charleswood Care Centre for the care, respect and kindness shown to our mother. Service of Celebration will take place at St. James United Church, Monday, May 15, at 1:00 p.m., Rev. Don McIntyre presiding. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to an Art or Music Program of your choice or the Winnipeg Humane Society.
