GILBERT LEVEQUE It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our dear father, grandfather and great-grandfather on Thursday, May 11, 2006 at the age of 75. Gil is survived by his daughter Barbara (Eldren) and granddaughters, Danielle (Kent) and Karen (Luke); son Raymond (Jeannette) and grandsons, Marc (Michelle) and great-grandson Tristan, Paul (Candice) and great-grandson Corrie, grandsons, Justin and Allen; son Michael and grandsons, Shawn and Andrew. Also mourning his passing are his brother Larry Lévêque (Anne), sister Rose Lévêque and numerous nieces and nephews. Gil was predeceased by his wife Jean and parents Hector and Leda Lévêque. Gil was born in St. Boniface, MB on April 2, 1931 and educated in St. Boniface, MB. His profession as a printer spanned over 40 years and involved working for various companies both in Winnipeg, MB and California. He dedicated over 20 years of volunteer service with The Navy League of Canada and the Royal Canadian Sea Cadets where he influenced many young lives. After retirement Gil found great joy in traveling with the love of his life, Jean, researching family history, and spending time in front of the computer. Gil's family brought him great joy and he was so proud of their every achievement in life. Gil's children, Barbara, Raymond, Michael and families will greatly miss his love and support. If friends / family so wish, in lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to The St. Boniface Hospital and Research Foundation Manitoba's Heart Centre, 409 Taché Ave., Winnipeg, MB R2H 2A6. Prayers will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, May 15 at Desjardins Funeral Chapel, 357 DesMeurons, Winnipeg. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, May 16 at St. Marguerite Bourgeoys Chapel, 2235 Silver Ave. at Whytewold Road with Fr. Lance Magdziak officiating. Interment to follow at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd., Winnipeg. The family wishes to thank the Winnipeg's Emergency Service staff for all their compassionate care and support.
