GERHARD WILHELM SEIER After a full and satisfying life, Gerhard Seier died peacefully on May 10, 2006 at Victoria Hospital in Winnipeg, MB. He was born in Raesfeld, Germany, on January 16, 1908, the youngest of ten children born to Johann Seier and Christine Buss. He came to Canada to seek his fortune in 1927 and arrived in Winnipeg in 1929. In 1936 he founded the Vita Health Company and derived lifelong satisfaction from enriching the lives of his customers by providing them with alternative health options. His other interests included raising mink, cattle and trout. Gerry's adventurous nature took him to Grand Cayman for 12 years and to Florida for another two years. Then, at the age of eighty-five he opted out of retirement and began raising Ostriches. Predeceased by his parents, his siblings, his wife Marie and his daughter-in-law Maureen. He is survived by sons, Gerald (Beverly), Lorne (Patricia), Richard and Mark (Janel); his daughter Mary-Jane Holtmann (John); 17 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Special thanks to the wonderful people who staff St. Norbert Personal Care Home especially Sophie and Tony. Prayers will be said on Sunday, May 14 at Thomson In the Park , 1291 McGillivray Blvd. at 8:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, May 15 at 10:00 a.m., at Mary Mother of the Church, 85 Kirkbridge Dr. with Fr.
