Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryNORMAN WILLIAM ORR Husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Friday, May 12, 2006 at the age of 88 years. He is survived by his loving wife, Gladys, of 64 years of marriage; daughters, Myrtle (Don) Bell, Connie (Bob) Brown, Beverley Latreille; son Rodney (Kera) Orr; grandchildren and great-grandchildren and daughter-in-law Norma. He was predeceased by his son, Gerald Orr. Bill was born in Biggar, SK, raised his family in Transcona/Anola, MB and spent his retirement years in Kelowna, BC. He served in the Armored Corp from 1942 to 1946. He spent his working career as a carpenter. His hobbies included music and golf, and loved spending time with his family. The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to Kelowna General Hospital staff on 4E, the Palliative Care staff at Cottonwood and to Dr. Mackle. An informal reception will be held on Thursday, May 18 at 12:00 noon in the SunVilla Recreation Centre in Sun Rise Village, 1255 Raymer Ave., Kelowna. A gathering will be held at a later date in Manitoba. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. The tide recedes but leaves behind Bright seashells on the sand, The sun goes down, but gentle warmth Still lingers on the land, The music stops, and yet it echoes on In sweet refrains...
